Starlight Event Center

The team included lighting and lighting control made up of several MEGA-LITE Spotbot LED CYM 300 and Drama Profile Q2W. The Spotbots were installed across the room to cover seating and presentation areas. The fixtures now transform every are of the venue with the different Gobo and color capabilities. The Drama Profile Q2W added extra spotlighting to specific areas with the intention to have direct spotlighting on the different stages. The professional theatrical fixture features a 250W quad red, green, blue & warm white LED that will allow the center to create a colorful atmosphere. The mood in the room can be adjusted to a softer tone when needed using the cool and warm white. With the hopes to provide easy control of the event center’s new lighting fixtures, the team also included a MEGA-LITE MEGA Console. The Mega Console was supplied with the Enlighten software, which is a friendly user interface that will allow the event’s center staff to easily control all of their house lighting.

With such a large room to cover from multiple angles, five different video wall systems (one 60 ’x 20’ and four 16’ x 9’) were installed around the room that were made up of MEGA VIEW Promotile 3. he revolutionary Promotile Series features direct wall-mounting capabilities designed for the US market. The built-in strut system makes this panel easy to install and maintain. The front serviceable design will allow the service technicians to easily service the system and handle each component, reducing the risk of damage. “These specific video walls were chosen because of their slim sleek design, they were the perfect choice for this application and were very easy to install.

120ft made up of 12″ Texas Structures truss were installed with the purpose of the light and video rigging.

One of the main challenges we faced was finishing this new construction in the short time line from completion to open. We overcame it by putting in the work and ensuring our part of the job was getting done, by the time opening day came the customers were satisfied with the build.

After 2 years under construction, the El Paso Starlight Event Center finally opened its doors. This special event facility should win because of its versatility. Between the lighting and video systems that brought the venue together. The space will be used for different events including, educational, trade shows, weddings, banquets and more.
