U2’s performance at MSG Sphere, Las Vegas, was an astounding triumph. The MSG Sphere is the world’s largest LED screen, enveloping its outer surface with a massive 55,700 square meters of display space. Inside, an additional 15,793 square meters of LED screens create an expansive spherical display area, surpassing IMAX by over 40 times.
Within this remarkable venue, YES TECH’s MG7S series played a crucial role in shaping the main stage which perfectly caters to the show that is full of fantasy, prosperity, and hope all around. The mesmerizing visual effects, characterized by a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours and captivating imagery, captivated the audience’s senses, elevating the overall experience to unprecedented heights. The innovative circular stacked stage, evoking the imagery of a turntable, featured a striking 10-meter diameter circular screen on the top, complemented by a substantial 14m*14m square screen below. This meticulous setup seamlessly integrated to form a unified stage, perfectly suited to the immersive atmosphere within the sphere.
This configuration not only provided an immersive visual experience for the audience but also contributed significantly to the overwhelming success of U2’s performance at MSG Sphere.
The biggest challenge is the multitude of customized displays within a short delivery time. The pivotal element of this project lies in the round stage, which contains 268 conventional cabinets of MG7S, and 88 creative-shape cabinets. To ensure the perfect curvature of the edges, the shaped screens used in this project were all customized products. The delivery period was only 3 months, and each customized screen needed to be moulded, which required a lot of manpower, material resources, and time. YES TECH set up a special team for the first time after receiving the task and worked on various sections such as electronics, structure, process, production, pre-sales, and after-sales.
In terms of electronics, structure, process, etc., there were 350 drawings made for the stage around the circle, and the MG truss was specially designed for easy and quick assembly. Through continuous adjustment, the fixing method of the screen is made uniform to ensure the positioning of the screen, the precision of the regular cabinet connection, and the flatness of the cabinet assembly, the stability and reliability reach the best state.
In terms of production, the large number of creative cabinets required 159 line transfer operations; each direction of the display requires independent programming, totalling 159 programming tasks. Through numerous optimizations, it finally realized the consistency between the displays thus presenting a super shocking overall choreography effect.

At the heart of this spectacle lies the innovative main stage, meticulously designed and crafted by YES TECH inside the MSG Sphere. Featuring a unique stacked design reminiscent of a turntable, the main stage seamlessly integrates a 10-meter diameter circular screen with a 14m x 14m square screen, creating a unified and visually captivating centrepiece. This creative configuration not only enhances the immersive experience for audiences but also showcases the technological prowess of the U2 band show.
