Mir Lounge

MIR Lounge was envisioned as a visually driven nightlife destination where lighting and digital media play a central role in shaping the atmosphere. The client wanted a venue that would feel energetic, modern, and memorable the moment guests enter the space. The project focused on creating a strong visual identity through interior design, dynamic lighting, and integrated video elements that work together to transform the room throughout the night.

The goal was to create an environment where technology and design combine to produce a high-impact experience that keeps guests engaged and immersed in the energy of the venue.

The lighting at MIR Lounge is built around a bold grid of colorful linear lights that wrap the ceiling and walls. We made sure each line was perfectly straight to get a clean look. At every point where the lines cross, we placed intelligent lights.

These lights, from Chauvet DJ, American DJ, and Elation, bring movement and excitement right at those intersections. The whole system is run by Onyx controls, and Madrix software gives the grid its dynamic effects. Together, this creates a lively, energetic atmosphere that surrounds everyone in the space.

The video system at MIR Lounge gave the existing LED screens a fresh look. We repositioned them to fit the new layout, with a main screen as the focal point behind the stage. The screens display everything from visuals to branded content, adding to the atmosphere.

With Resolume Arena running the show, staff can quickly switch up the visuals to match the night’s energy whether it’s a DJ set, a themed night, or a big crowd moment. It’s all about keeping the vibe fresh and visually on point.

One of the main challenges during the installation was achieving the precise alignment required for the large grid of RGB linear lighting that runs across the ceiling and walls. The design depends on clean geometric lines, so every fixture had to be installed perfectly straight and evenly spaced. This required careful measurements, custom mounting points, and constant adjustments during installation to maintain consistent alignment throughout the room.

Another challenge involved wall mounting the existing LED video screens in a way that would better integrate them into the new interior design.

Rather than leaving the displays exposed, the screens were framed with a gloss black molding to dress them up and give them a more finished appearance. This detail helped the screens blend more naturally with the design of the space while still maintaining their function as visual elements within the venue.

MIR Lounge is a strong example of how creative design and technical planning can deliver real value for a client. Instead of replacing the venue’s existing lighting and video equipment, the project focused on repurposing and repositioning those systems to create a completely new visual identity for the space.

The result is a venue that feels modern, energetic, and visually striking while making smart use of the technology the client already owned. The grid of RGB linear lighting creates a bold architectural feature that defines the room, while the intelligent lighting and video system work together to support the nightlife atmosphere.

This project highlights the ability to solve problems creatively and bring customers unmatched value. Through thoughtful design and careful installation, the space was transformed into a visually impactful environment without requiring a full system replacement.
