The Theater at Fossil Ridge High School, a 782-seat venue in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, serves as a hub for various academic performance arts, including musicals, theatrical productions, acoustic shows, and rental events. Recognising the need to modernise its aging sound system due to acoustic decline and sightline obstructions, Keller Independent School District enlisted ProFormance Systems (PFS) to engineer a solution.
Objectives
PFS was tasked with designing and implementing a sound reinforcement system that would improve audio quality while preserving clear sightlines for all attendees and performers.
The Solution
To achieve these goals, Blaze Audio was selected as the exclusive provider of power and loudspeaker technology. This partnership focused on a “less is more” approach to deliver a comprehensive audio experience for everyone involved.
According to PFS President Cameron Hefty, the objective was to provide a simple yet powerful audio solution that translated performance quality effectively to the audience. Blaze Audio enabled the team to minimise the number of loudspeakers and power amplifiers, eliminate the need for delays and fills, and ensure clear sight-lines. Hefty further noted that the loudspeakers offer extensive coverage while maintaining clarity and consistency throughout the venue, and the amplifiers provide ample headroom for efficient system operation.
