Months of sound studies were undertaken by the city of New York and our own technicians to guarantee that concerts at the rooftop venue in downtown Manhattan would achieve 110-120dB in the audience area but not disturb the densely populated urban surroundings of Manhattan.

We had to prove to the city of New York that our ADAPTive systems are capable of such control or the city would not grant the venue its license.

Our ADAPTive technology allows us to place the audio coverage only where it is required. It has been stated many times by the owners of Pier 17, The Howard Hughes Corporation, that the venue would not exist if it was not for our systems ability to control sound coverage.

We knew we had it dialed in perfectly when we were listening to Jay Z do his sound check on the rooftop at 110dB and the people on the street four stories below had no idea anyone was even playing music.

“In my opinion, there isn’t another system out there that could do this,” adds Chris Anderson, owner of Anderson Audio. “Each Anya enclosure has 22 channels of digital signal processing and amplification driving 22 transducers. Multiply that by 12 modules in each array, and you have the control to really dial it in, so it delivers exactly what is needed, where it is needed.”
