La Pergola is a world-class fine dining restaurant where every detail contributes to an extraordinary guest experience.

The project required a fully integrated audio, video, lighting and outdoor sound, all controlled seamlessly via a Crestron automation platform.

The goal was to enhance ambiance, operational efficiency, and safety while ensuring that the technology remained invisible to the guests, maintaining the restaurant’s sophisticated aesthetic.Audio plays a crucial role in shaping the sensory identity of La Pergola, providing a refined acoustic atmosphere that complements the restaurant’s high-end dining experience. The system was designed to deliver balanced, discreet sound coverage across both indoor and outdoor areas while preserving the calm and intimate character expected in a fine dining environment.

Next Domus engineered a multi-zone audio distribution system integrated into the Crestron control ecosystem. Professional Bose FreeSpace loudspeakers and PowerSpace amplifiers were carefully positioned to ensure uniform sound levels throughout the restaurant while remaining visually unobtrusive.

The system allows independent control of multiple audio zones, including indoor dining areas, terraces, and garden spaces. Background music levels are precisely calibrated to maintain comfortable conversation while enriching the atmosphere with subtle soundscapes. Through Crestron automation, audio levels and playlists can be synchronized with lighting scenes and operational schedules.

Staff can easily manage the entire audio system through Crestron touch panels, allowing quick adjustments for different services, events, or seasonal changes in ambiance. This intuitive control ensures that the restaurant team can focus entirely on hospitality rather than technical management.

The result is a seamless acoustic environment that supports the elegance and tranquility of the space. Guests experience a carefully balanced sonic atmosphere that enhances the dining experience without drawing attention to the technology behind it.

Lighting was designed to be an essential element of the guest experience at La Pergola, enhancing the atmosphere of the restaurant while remaining completely discreet within the architectural design. Rather than functioning as simple illumination, the lighting system was conceived as an adaptive environmental layer capable of transforming the mood of the space throughout the day.

Next Domus implemented a Crestron-based lighting automation system using DIN-DALI-2 interfaces and 4-Series control processors to manage all lighting scenes across the restaurant. This infrastructure allows precise control over intensity, timing, and scene transitions while maintaining a clean and elegant visual aesthetic aligned with the restaurant’s luxury identity.

Different lighting scenes were programmed to match the rhythm of the restaurant’s operation. Subtle and brighter lighting supports the atmosphere during lunch service, while warmer, more intimate scenes gradually emerge during evening dining hours. These transitions occur automatically based on time schedules and occupancy detection, ensuring that the environment always feels balanced and welcoming.

Crestron occupancy sensors also contribute to energy efficiency and operational intelligence by adjusting lighting levels according to guest movement and space utilization. Staff can easily control or override scenes using intuitive TSW-1070 touch panels, allowing quick adjustments during special events or private dinners.

The result is a lighting environment that enhances the emotional quality of the dining experience without ever distracting from it. Technology remains invisible, yet it continuously shapes the ambiance, ensuring that every guest experiences a refined and comfortable atmosphere throughout their visit.

The client required a solution that was simultaneously powerful, discreet, and user-friendly.

The main challenges were:
• Integrating multiple systems (audio, lighting, outdoor sound) across indoor and outdoor areas
• Maintaining aesthetic integrity, with all equipment hidden from guest view
• Ensuring simple operation for restaurant staff without technical expertise

We implemented a Crestron DIN-rail based automation system coordinating all subsystems.

Custom programming allowed:
• Lighting scenes to adapt automatically based on occupancy, time of day, and dining zones
• Background music and outdoor audio zones to operate in sync with lighting and guest flow
• Staff to control all systems via TSW-1070 tabletop and wall-mounted touch panels, providing intuitive one-touch access

During the project, we introduced:
• Occupancy-based lighting and audio using Crestron GLS-OIR-C-CN and GLS-ODT-C-CN sensors
• Advanced scene presets combining lighting, audio, and outdoor music for special events
• Redundant system logic to ensure continuous operation of critical zones
• Remote monitoring and fine-tuning capability via Crestron network

Challenges included:
• Tight architectural constraints limiting equipment placement
• Synchronizing multiple audio zones and outdoor speakers while maintaining discreet aesthetics
• Coordination between lighting and audio signals

Next Domus overcame these by:
• Conducting detailed As-Built surveys
• Implementing modular, DIN-rail based hardware for flexibility
• Programming advanced Crestron automation logic to ensure fail-safe operation
• Performing on-site testing and remote commissioning to validate all operational scenarios

La Pergola’s integration goes beyond technical competence and enters true “wow” territory by redefining how technology can quietly elevate a luxury dining experience without ever drawing attention to itself. What makes this project exceptional is not just the presence of advanced systems, but how seamlessly they disappear into the architecture and ambience of a high-end restaurant.

One of the most compelling wow-worthy elements is the use of fully automated scenes that synchronize lighting levels with indoor and outdoor audio zones.

At the touch of a button—or automatically based on time of day—the environment transforms to suit lunch service, evening fine dining, or special events. These transitions are smooth and almost imperceptible to guests, reinforcing the sense of refinement rather than technology on display.

Occupancy-based adaptive lighting and sound further elevate the experience.

Spaces subtly respond to guest movement and density, ensuring optimal comfort while supporting energy efficiency. This level of intelligence allows staff to focus entirely on service, confident that the environment is always tuned perfectly.

Another standout aspect is the seamless integration of multiple AV, lighting, and control brands into a single Crestron ecosystem. This creates operational simplicity behind the scenes, giving staff intuitive control while maintaining system reliability and scalability. Despite this technical complexity, all equipment remains visually invisible—carefully concealed to preserve the restaurant’s architectural elegance and design integrity.
